My approach requires that I give holistic consideration to learners’ lives across all streams of my academic work: research, teaching, advocacy, mentoring, and advising. In that spirit, here's a bit about me beyond my research and teaching:

• I was born in Venezuela to Colombian parents #migrationisbeautiful

• After growing up undocumented in the US, I love to travel as much as possible!

• I live in Norwalk, CT with my husband, my children, and our furry child.

• I love to get lost in a fiction book, binge-watching TV, delving into a new DIY project, and treasure-hunting at tag sales (aka garage or yard sales).
